🎙️ Deep Dive Drive – Episode 84: When the Buzz Comes Back
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
In this episode of Deep Dive Drive, recorded on my morning commute, I talk about something that every coach, manager, and leader will experience at some point in their journey:
When the buzz comes back.
After stepping away from my role at Frimley Green, I spent time reflecting on what I wanted next, what motivated me, and what sort of environment I wanted to be a part of. Then an opportunity came along that just felt right — the chance to become First Team Manager at Camberley Town F.C..
And suddenly, the buzz was back.
In this episode, I talk about:
- Why it’s important to listen to yourself when making big decisions
- Recognising when your energy and passion return
- The excitement of starting a new challenge
- Returning to a club that has played such a big part in my football journey
- The balance between emotion, opportunity, and responsibility when taking on a new role
Camberley Town is a club that means a lot to me personally. It’s where my journey began as a young player, progressing through the youth teams, reserves, and first team. So to return in a leadership position brings a real sense of excitement, pride, and purpose.
This episode is about recognising those moments in life when something just feels right. When the motivation returns. When the ideas start flowing. When you’re excited about what’s ahead.
Because sometimes, after a period of reflection, you realise you haven’t lost the passion — you’ve just been waiting for the right opportunity to reignite it.
New challenge. Fresh energy. The buzz is back.
One drive at a time.
